Managing People and Performance

Research shows that managers spend more than 25 percent of their time managing issues related to underperformance. That results in huge costs to individuals and the organization, from productivity, quality, and service problems to employee retention and morale.

Most managers lack the skills and training to get and keep performance on track or to adapt their management styles to get the best from their people. This intensive two-day workshop gives managers the tools to get the performance they need from each person they manage. They leave able to provide the clarity that makes execution possible, create individual buy-in so follow-through is more likely, and confront performance problems when they occur.

LEARNING GOALS

In Managing People and Performance, managers will learn to:

  • create and reinforce high-commitment Performance Agreements;

  • help people find their own solutions to problems in ways that build their capabilities; and

  • hold people accountable when performance goes off track.
