Candor Skills When confronted with a "candor moment"--giving hard feedback, supporting an unpopular recommendation, or pointing out a systemic problem--employees are often afraid to speak their minds. They worry that their ideas will get shot down, that they’ll be labeled troublemakers, that they’ll risk alienating the people they work with, or that they’ll sabotage their own careers. It’s safer to keep quiet than to speak up. But every time an employee withholds, a problem goes unsolved or an opportunity is missed.
